A pure Frappato that expresses the unique characteristics of this local Sicilian variety, with its spring-like scents of flowers and fresh red fruit. It bears the name of the vineyard in which its lattice rows are organically grown with the aid of the sandy soils and the temperate climate of Vittoria. Serve at 15° C, exploring its versatility with pasta or rice dishes, cheese, fish and light meats.
Our company was formed thanks to a long family history in the heart of Sicily’s only Docg, that of Cerasuolo di Vittoria. Here, heritage and memory are linked to today’s production of wine, supporting an ambitious and firmly identifiable project of territorial growth.
1880 was the year the first vines were planted here by our family and with it the first millstone was laid.
Over three generations, we have lovingly continued to increase our study and knowledge of work in both the vineyard and cellar, with the everlasting desire to create quality wines.
With our roots deeply planted in this tradition and with a management team that has remained entirely in the family, today we cultivate our vineyards with a contemporary vision, totally focused on sustainability. As early as 2013, we were one of the first organic farms in the area: we conduct certified farming practices throughout our property, enhancing the biodiversity through the presence of olive groves and other typically Mediterranean plant varieties.
The two red grape varieties that give life to Cerasuolo, Frappato and Nero d'Avola, and one of the oldest white grape varieties on the island, Inzolia, are at the heart of our project, supported by the oenological advice of Salvo Foti, whom we appreciate, not only for his great knowledge of Sicilian territories, but also for his expertise in supporting the most natural production philosophies.- like ours - more natural.
